Installation:
1. Put the Cam.u into your UT2004\System folder
2. In the user.ini change the lines "DemoMenuClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4DemoPlayback"
to "DemoMenuClass=Cam.CamDemoPage".
There might be multiple "DemoMenuClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4DemoPlayback" lines. Change ALL(!!!) of them to
"DemoMenuClass=Cam.CamDemoPage".




Getting started:
Open a client or serverdemo, hit 'ESC' twice and then 'H'. After that hit 'I' for
a short introduction.
A tutorial can be found on www.RypelCam.net in the Library Section. But you will find most of the information you need in this readme and the ingame text.


new in 1.9D:

- changed: first person weaponmodels are now off by default
- fixed: you dont need a special UTComp version anymore to load RypelCam
- fixed: if you turn the weapons off they wont show again after fast forwarding
- added: HUD message that tells you if you are too far away from the last Campoint so that Numpad'5' will fail


new in 1.9C:

- Soundsystem is automatically deactivated when youre fastforwarding to increase speed and smoothness.
You should also bind the 'togglescreenshotmode' command to a key and press that key everytime you start fastforwarding cause this increases fastforwarding speed even more!
(Also disabling the UTcomp Overlays(if there are any) makes fastforwarding a bit smoother.)

- 30x speed button added. But you can still get any speed you like for your system with the 'seekframe speed frame' or the 'seekto mins secs speed' commands.

- 'toggleweaponshow' console command to switch weapondisplay on/off. If you dont like the weaponmodels bind this command to a key and press it everytime after you started a demo.

- 'seekframe x y' command changed! Now x stands for fastforward speed and y stands for the frame. This command is important for moviemakers, cause the clock gets out of sync at high seek speeds while the framenumber stays pretty accurate! Example use:
Example: 'seekspeed 30 20000' seeks with 30x speed to frame number 20000.
Moviemakers should write down the framenumber('F' key!) instead of times and use this command later on to get back to the scene for recording.
- 'levelcolor x y' command improved(example: 'levelcolor black true'). But it gets confused if wallhack is enabled, so you shouldnt combine it with the wallhack.

new in 1.9 Beta 2:

- 'F' key shows current framenumber(But pls note: framecounting only starts after RypelCam got started with ESC! So do it quick if you want accurate framenumbers.)
- 'seekframe x y' where x is the seekspeed and y is the framenumber. Seeks to specified frame.
!!!!framenumber and seekframe are more accurate then the ingame clock and the normal seekto!!!!
- 'killscreens x' where x is the fastforward speed. Makes screenshots of all the kills the watched player makes.

- weapondisplay optimizations


new in 1.9:


The following two command only have a effect when drawing the weaponmodels is enabled.

- 'instantweaponswitch' Toggles instant weaponswitch on/off when Weapons are visible.

- 'weaponstyle x' where x can be 1,2 or 3.
1 = original weaponplacement with Mini and Linkgun in the middle.
2 = weaponplacement differs from oroginal placement for all weapons
3 = weapons are all placed like when you play in singleplayer with weaponhand set to Right
NOTE: The weaponstyle doesent change immediatly. The changes are beeing made as soon as the player switches his current weapon.

- 'ToggleSsModeB' Like the ToggleScreenShotMode Command but leaves the Crosshair visible.

- 'ToggleSsModeC' Like the ToggleScreenShotMode Command but leaves the Crosshair and Deathmessages visible. But also the Pickupmessages.
You can get rid of most of the Pickupmessages though, if you edit the XWeapons.int file in youre UT2004/system folder and replace the PickupMessage strings with " ".

- 'hitscreens x' Where s can be s,l or sl. Meaning: if you set it to s it will make a screenshot whenever the player watched fires with the Shock Rifle.
Setting it to l will do the same for the Lightning Gun. Setting it to sl will make a screen everytime Shock Rifle or Lightning Gun are beeing fired.
This function can maybe help detecting the use of TriggerBot Cheats.

- 'setfog x y z' Makes or replaces the distance fog in a map. x must look like this: (R=200,G=0,B=10). Where R,G and B stand for read,green and blue. You can assign them any values between 0 and 255.
y and z are optional. They stand for Fogstart and Fogend.





- 'mblur x' where x is a value between 0 and 1. So mblur 0.567 for example.
- 'wh x' You can see Players through walls. 1 = enabled, 0 = disabled
- 'fov x' x should be something between 50 and 200
Didnt work in demos so far. Now it does.
- 'seekto x y z' fast forwards in time with speed z and x = mins, y = secs.
Example: "seekto 16 0 4" fast forwards with 4x speed to time 16:00
When the specified time is reached the game will be paused.
Note: speed values beyond 8x can freeze youre UT.

- 'timedpath x' 1 = enabled, 0 = disabled
See below for an Introduction to timed paths.

- 'followtarget x' specifies distance for the chasecam. Negative values are also allowed and will show the target from the front.
x = 0 disables the chasecam.
You should specify a target, with Numpad'6' for projectiles or Numpad'0' for players, first before executing this.
Note: When you want the Cam to follow a Camerapath while looking at the target thats a different thing and can be toggled with Numpad'x' after selection of a target with Numpad'6'/Numpad'0'.

- 'wireframe x' 1 = enabled, 0 = disabled

- 'camspeed x' will instantly change the Camspeed when not in timed-path mode.
Note that this and all the other commands can be binded to a key in the user.ini.

- 'levelcolor x y' x can be blue, black or green. x = normal will show the level the normal way. y = 1: weaponeffects are also shown. y = 0: only playermodels and projectiles.
Hides the level with a solid color. Can be combined with wallhack and the 'U' key for ghost CaCam ignores walls).
Note: when y is 1 wallhack is also enabled. Showing the weaponeffects without having wallhack enabled too is not supported yet.

- 'projectileexplosion' This has no param. There is a bug that sometimes rockets dont explode when they hit a player. Because it looks better when rockets explode on impact i made this command.
How to use: First select a projectile with Numpad'6' then you can go back to your normal view and when you want to let the projectile(i.e. rocket) explode execute this command(should be binded in the user.ini).

- 'framebyframe' When the demo is paused this unpauses for 2 frames i guess and then pauses again

- 'togglehideplayers' Toggles playervisibility off and on

- 'moveto x y z' moves the spectatorcam to a position specified by x,y and z

- 'timedilation x' changes the demospeed. NOTE: 1.1 is the default. Not 1.0!

- 'summon classname' now the summon command also works in demos

- 'nextframe x' where x is the number of frames you want to skip. If you dont specify x it is set to 1

- 'replacename old new' with this you can assign new names to the players in the demo

- 'explodeallrockets' lets all the current rockets explode

- 'hideallrockets' hides all current rockets

- 'hidealllighteffects' hides all lightning effects

- 'hideallshockbeameffects' hides all shockbeam effects


Look at the On-Screen Infos for more features like how to give Campoints different fov values.

To save/load a Campath use the buttons on the gui. Rightclicking on a save will give you the options to rename or delete it.
Alternatly you can select a save and hit Del for deleting it or hit 'R' for renaming it.


How to use Pathedit Mode:
After enabling it in the Properties window use NumPad'+' and NumPad'-' to select a Campoint.
Then use NumPad'1' and NumPad'2' to make the visual changes. They will mostly adjust the Pathsegment
between the current selected Campoint and its Predecessor.

Known issues:

- if the Game crashes when trying to load or to save a Campath, erase the files in your UT2004/saves folder. Sometimes RypelCam has problems with files in there.

- the weaponmodels have some issues in singleplayer and serverside demos. Thats why they are disabled in such demos by default! But they can be enabled in the Properties menu.

- When using the pause key it sometimes happens that you are freezed and/or youre beamed to another location.
Unpause and pause again to fix this.

- When using Numpad'6' to select a projectile it sometimes happens that the Game crashes. When that happens restart and try again.

- Sometimes after using the seekto command the Game freezes. You can close it by using ALT+TAb and then right click on UT2004->close.

- If you want to play back a timed path Cam you just created you first have to restart the Game.
If you just restart the demo timed paths will mostly not work.

- you should restart UT before joining an online game after watching a demo with RypelCam. Otherwise you might get kicked from the server.
