Epic nun auch ein Opfer....

Der Trendsport läuft an?
Sony, Versicherungen, Bankenserver und und und.
Codemaster hat es getroffen und seit einigen Tagen ist der UT2004 Masterserver offline.
Ebenso war auch das Epic-Forum offline.

Der Grund:
Trendsporthacking!

Hier das Statement von Tim Sweeney, was gerade frisch per Mail kam.

The hackers may have obtained the email addresses and encrypted passwords of forum users. Plaintext passwords weren't revealed, but it's possible that those passwords could be obtained by a brute-force attack on the encrypted passwords. Therefore, we have reset all passwords.

The Unreal Developer Network (UDN) hasn't been compromised. Thankfully, none of our web sites ask for, or store, credit card information or other financial data.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, and appreciate everyone's patience as we wrestle our servers back under control.

Jo,hab ich auch bekommen.

Alle Passwörter wurden vorsichtshalber resettet.Das neue steht in der Mail

An alle, die keine Mail gekriegt haben: Am besten die Passwörter (und gegebenenfalls die Mailadresse) manuell so schnell wie möglich umändern!
Flak hat dazu in diesem Thread dazu aufgerufen.

To change your password:

Step 1
Log into your vBulletin account.
Step 2
Click the "User Control Panel" (UserCP) link at the top of the forum that appears after you login. This brings you to the main screen that includes profile data.
Step 3
Click the "Edit email and password" button to change your password. Click the "Save" button.

Man sollte warten bis man die email von epic bekommt ansonsten darfs mann 3 mal machen.

ich hatte mein pw und die email direkt nach bekanntgabe geändert, 1 tag später bekam ich mail von epic das es resettet wurde, wieder einen tag später nochne nen email mit resett da es probleme mit dem resett gab.

Hat das auch mit dem Passwort, dass man in UT2k4 unter Einstellungen eingegeben hat zu tun? Meine Stats sind nicht mehr sichtbar ?

Das Stats-Passwort ergibt zusammen mit deinem Stats-Nick deine Stats-ID. Änderst du eins von beiden, hast du eine neue ID und die alten Stats ändern sich nicht mehr. Dass Stats gelöscht werden ist mir nicht bekannt. Und logischerweise haben Stats und Epic-Forum nichts miteinander zu tun.
