Standard Mal Eure Meinung - Neue CB Cup Rules 2k4

Hiho,

Quelle: http://clanbase.ggl.com/news.php?nid=361529

3 new rules coming into effect across the entire UT2004 OC's, see inside for details.

3 new rules are now coming into effect across the entire Ut2004 OCs.

Rule change Number 1

Old Rule:

All clans are obligated to record serverside demos of all maps played. If the clans cannot make serverside demos then all players are obligated to record in-eye demos of all maps played. Clans must upload the demos (serverside or in-eye) to ClanBase's FTP within 96 hours after the match. Failure to do this will result in a yellow card (two yellow cards means forfeit loss for that particular map).
Opponents are also allowed to request the serverside demos or any in-eye demos (in case no serverside demo was made) within 1 hour after the match has ended. This request should be communicated to the opponent, cup admin and supervisor as soon as possible. Clans may only request demos when cheating is suspected. Failure to supply a demo on an opponent's request will result in a forfeit loss for that particular map.

New Rule:

Each player must record a 1st-person demo (of each map he/she plays) and keep this demo for 14 days after the match (Please pay special attention to restarting demorec after disconnecting from the server for any reason).

- Clans are required to upload up to 1 demo per total number of maps played by the clans in the match. This can be between 2-3 demos in group games and 3-5 demos in playoff games
- To request demos, a clan must email both Supervisors with their request within 24h of the scheduled match start time. The Supervisors will forward the request to the opponent clan. Requests that are not made via the Supervisors are never valid.
- Supervisors may decide to request specific demos themselves. This can be done even if no demos or different demos have been requested by the opponent clan.
- There are no valid reasons not to record demos. If you can't demorec for any reason - do not play.
- The Supervisors and AntiCheat-team can demand someone to upload a demo of every map he/she plays in this cup. Failure to upload the demo within 3 days results in an immediate cup ban and forfeit loss of the match. Repeated failure results in a temporary ClanBase ban.
- Players who do have an expired C&A profile (posting bans exluded) must upload all demos of all maps the played in this cup. Failure to upload the demo within 3 days results in an immediate cup ban and a forfeit loss of the match. Repeated failure results in a temporary ClanBase ban
- Failure to supply a requested demo will result in a default loss of the match.
- Failure to upload a complete demo will result in a default loss of the match. Demos missing (broken or not recorded) more than 10% of the time played do not count as uploaded. Demos count as broken when they can't be played on systems following the client settings described earlier.
- Repeated failure to supply a requested demo will result in a player cup ban.
- The minimum average framerate of a demo is 40. Demos recorded at lower framerates are not valid.
- To ensure your demo is recording at 40 or more fps, alter the following values (UT2004.ini) to be sure all your demos will be 40+ frames per second:
[Engine.DemoRecDriver]
NetServerMaxTickRate=70
LanServerMaxTickRate=70
- If you are not sure if your demos are recording at 40+ frames per second, test it. There is no excuse for providing demos with less than 40 fps.

The next 2 rules are both related to server settings and the tick rate.

Rule Change Number 2

Old Rule:

The "NetServerMaxTickRate" settings in [IpDrv.TcpNetDriver] and [Engine.DemoRecDriver] must be set to a value of 30-35 - and it must be the same value in both places.

New Rule:

The "NetServerMaxTickRate" settings in [IpDrv.TcpNetDriver] and [Engine.DemoRecDriver] must be set to a value of 40-45 - and it must be the same value in both places.

Rule Change Number 3

Old Rule:

however, the maximum packets sent by the server must not exceed 35 at all times.

New Rule:

however, the maximum packets sent by the server must not exceed 45 at all times.

Despite these changes, there are no excuses for corrupt demos, all server's should be tested before to ensure all server side demos work. If you are unsure, do not play on that server.

Nun will man also beides haben.
