Installation:
=============
Remove all previously installed content related to Ashura: Dark Reign.
Extract the contents of the zipfile directly into the game's folder.
When extracted, the game directory will have a NEW folder named AshuraDarkReign.


To play the mod:
================
To play the mod, double-click the file AshuraDarkReign.lnk based in
...\UT2004\AshuraDarkReign\System
If the mod doesn't start, check the path of link to the file is right.

Alternatives to start the mod:
- Execute the Launch Ashura Dark Reign.bat file of AshuraDarkReign\System folder.
- Make a shotcut to your desktop of UT2004.exe, right-click, properties, and change target to:
...\UT2004\System\UT2004.exe -mod=AshuraDarkReign
- Or activate the mod through the community option under user mods section in UT2004.


Featured moves:
===============
Spin> While walking, press Crouch to make Sonic curl into a rolling attack. He'll remain in this position until you jump or slow down.

Spin Dash> While crouching, press Jump to have Sonic rev up with a stationary spin. Keep tapping Jump to build up momentum, and release Crouch to dash off with a full speed rolling attack.

Homing Dash> Jump, then press Jump again while in midair to home in on the nearest enemy, monitor or spring.

Light Dash> While walking next to a rings trail, press Special Move to fly at light speed along the trail.

Speed Dash> While walking, press Special Move once to run faster.

Bubble Dash> If you have a Bubble Shield, Jump, then press Special Move while in midair to have Sonic bounce straight back into the ground.

Electric Dash> If you have an Electric Shield, Jump, then press Special Move while in midair for a second midair leap.

Fire Dash> If you have a Fire Shield, Jump, then press Special Move while in midair to shoot forward or home in on the nearest enemy with a flaming dash.


Special Stage:
==============
Touch a star post with at least 50 rings on hand and a rotating circle of sparkles will briefly appear above the post; jump into it to be warped to the Special Stage.
There you must collect all the blue spheres while avoiding the red spheres. If you collect all the blue spheres you are rewarded with a Chaos Emerald.
Press left or right to rotate 90 degrees or the jump key at the right place to advance two squares.

Touching a blue sphere will turn it into a red sphere. When you encircle any cluster of blue spheres by tagging only the balls on the outer edge, the whole cluster transforms into rings.
Touching a yellow sphere will spring you forward five squares on the grid.
Touching a grey sphere will bump you backwards. Press forward to restore your original movement direction.
Collect all rings to earn a Perfect Bonus and thus a life.


Gamepad support:
================
This mod has been designed with mouse and keyboard in mind. However it's possible to use a gamepad or joystick.
First enable gamepad support in the input settings page of the mod and then see if levels can be played correctly.
For advanced users and fine tuning, open AshuraDarkReignUser.ini file and edit the [Engine.Input] section by modifying the Joy axis values.
If something is wrong, find tutorials about configuring gamepads for UT2004 or use Xpadder or JoyToKey programs.
